Hello from the Fish Pond

100_0805
We don't talk as much as the other pets, but we are part of the blog too. There are many of us in this pond, nobody has been able to count us because we swim around too much, but there are probably at least 30. Most of us are small, like the ones in this photo, but a few are quite large. Last year we lost our huge father fish, known as Marlon Brando, to a raccoon. That broke our parents and our hearts.

We like to eat and swim. We also like the other pets, who unlike the raccoon, have never tried to eat us and they all try their best (especially Pooka) to protect us from things like raccoons.

Raccoon!! Scary. The cats come and watch us sometimes but they'er no trouble. There is just the two of us, we are koi but not coy! I'm yellow and came from a shop, and I'm black and rescued from a drained pond. We love your pond, we have a 4foot aquarium but we are getting too big and soon we will have to go outside. We are a bit nervous about the other cats, foxes and herons out there but at least there are no raccoons!....

Foxes are clever little creatures, I would be on the look out for those too.

I think we'll stay in our fish tank for now, it seems safer and we can watch TV!

Wow those fish look like a whole lot of fun to watch! I'm afraid my sis Gracie may want to get in there with you! She loves water.
