Being all black makes them seem more threatening somehow, but it must put them at a disadvantage as they are more of a twilght hunter rather than nocturnal.
He looks like my sister's house cat, so he doesn't look threatening at all to me.I always see bobcats really early in the morning just as the sun is rising.
Just adopted an older cat this weekend that I believe could be of the Bobcat species if not mixed. It's solid black and it's temperment is aggressive and is vicious towards other male cats. His growl is very loud (louder like a dog's growl, and when it's sniffing it's loud like a dog sniffing also). It's weight is every bit of 20 lbs. I'm looking all over the internet for info, so far I can only find pictures.. This helps me some in my investigation if this is what he really his or not! Beautiful cat otherwise, and your blog picture is pretty too! thanks for sharing!
Do you have any photos of your cat?I have a 20 lbs house cat, so that isn't unheard of, but I would love to see photos.
