Come the colder weather and I'm sure it will return, they're not daft these monkeys. In Birmingham we had a Red Panda escape by the same method. For ages it would sit in the same spot in the enclosure, up by the overhanging branches. The keepers thought that they were to far for the animal to jump to, but one spring the branch had obviously grown just enough to reach, and it was off into the park. It was out for ages, travelling from tree to tree across the parkland. It came back eventually when all the local food was exhausted, but I think it had a good time.
