Fascinating article. Amazing the way birds navigate themselves. You can understand when there are sun, moon, or stars or if they are flying overland where there might be visual clues, but they manage to do it flying over featureless seas even in overcast conditions.
I always sleep pointing in the same direction, just in case this helps to align my internal magnetic direction finder, mad I know, but we all have our little ways...
